E-Learning Programmer

Responsibilities:
1. Maintain the E-Learning Management System (Moodle) installed in the MC Server.
2. Maintain the Gate Entrance and Exit Management System (GEMA) used by the MC Students.
3. Maintain the Library Information Systems (LISA and the LIBRO Systems) used by all Librarians and
Library Users of MC.
4. Write new program code, updates and revisions using prescribed specifications based on approved Systems Request (SR) of requesting Unit/Office and approved specifications of the Systems Analyst and ICT Manager, utilizing the appropriate hardware, database, and programming technologies.
5. Debug , fix , troubleshoot and refine programs developed based on unit testing results
6. Refine , improve , troubleshoot program features and processes based on best practices in program development
7. Analyse performance of programs and take action to correct deficiencies based on consultation with users and approval of supervisor.
8. Coordinate with the Systems Administrator and Software Provider for the installation, configuration and version control of the System onto Live Environment and Client Workstations for the Off-the-Shelf Systems purchased by the Institution for use in general administrative operations.
9. Integrate packaged software with existing in-house systems following the required specifications of the users and the configuration of the software vendor and the in-house system.
10. Develop downloading or uploading system or external modules that may required in the process of integration of packaged software with in-house system.
11. Ensure maintenance and software packages are updated annually.
12. Consult with Vendor on other necessary upgrades and issues on operating system upgrades, patches and service packs
13. Provide technical support to students, faculty and other e-Learning and library system users.
14. Perform other duties as may be assigned by supervisor from time to time.
Requirements:
* Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree , Commerce, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
* Should have knowledge in E-Learning Systems, Library Systems and other academic Software
* Must be knowledgable in any oriented programming language, preferably PowerBuilder, C#, Visual Basic and or.NET application programming language, MS-SQL 200x, Linux, and PHP.
* Must be capable of preparing technical documents, a team player, and willing to work long hours.
* At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
* Preferably 1-4 Yrs Experienced Employees specializing in IT/Computer - Software or equivalent.
* Full-Time positions available.
