Hope Street is a non profit association that operates the Hope Cybrary (cyber library), which is a small 12 seat facility serving the children of the Olympia and Sta. Cruz Barangay. The Cybrary is equipped with networked computers that have access to broadband Internet and color printing. It is a free, safe, supervised place where children can go to have access to the information they need to complete their school assignments.

Hope Street is seeking a part-time Studies Administrator contractor working locally from Manila to help us administer and operate our studies program.

(full time pay – part time, flex hours position)

Responsibilities:

As Studies Administrator you are overall responsible for the administration and management of the Cybrary’s operations. This position is initially a contract basis, 4 day a week – flexible hours position, but it is likely to become a full time position by 4th quarter 2009. The Studies Administrator duties include but are not limited to the following:

* Supervision of Librarian and Volunteers and Systems Administrator.
*Assist in the creation and implementation of the systems used to enroll and track the activities of the Cybrary’s children.
*Responsible for the management of the day-to-day operations of the Cybrary.
*Assist with locating and the creation of learning materials used in the Cybrary.

Requirements:

* At least 3 years employment history as an Administrator, preferably within the school system.
* BS in Education
* Excellent interpersonal communication skills
* Excellent writing skills, and highly computer literate
* Must love children
* Applicant should live within or near to Makati
* Applicant must have own PC and with Internet connection.
