Job Specifications

Graduate of BS Library and Information Science with license. At least 2 years experience in the area of library work. Proficient in Information Technology. Team player. Can work under pressure.

Job Description

1.Facilitates information dissemination to the public via the Knowledge for Development Center’s range of activities and knowledge products:
a. Orients and addresses inquiries on the presence of World Bank publications or studies that are available either at the KDC or the World Bank’s on line libray.
b. Provides access to a range of learning materials both in the KDC and the World Bank’s on-line library (either for sale or for free).

2. Library Management - Processes and maintains World Bank publications and collections in various formats.
a. Catalogues, labels and indexes acquired and donated books and other publications from the World Bank and other donor institutions.
b. Shelf-reads and shelves all publications in various formats.
c. Maintains and updates AIM-WB KDC Collection database.

3. Maintains and updates existing KDC computer terminals.

4. Promotes and markets World Bank publications for sale.

5. Generates metrics and statistics on KDC usage on a monthly basis.
