AV LIBRARIAN

The Grade School LMC seeks an AV Librarian to take office in April 2009.

The AV Librarian reports directly to the LMC Supervisor. The AV Librarian is expected to perform the following:

1. In-charge of the selection of audio-visual materials and equipment
2. Coordinates with the APAAs, SASs, faculty and other school personnel in the selection of AV materials
3. Promotes the use of AV instructional Materials
4. Supervises the AV technicians and AV assistants
5. Responsible for the accessioning and bar coding of acquired AV materials and equipment
6. In-charge of the physical processing of AV instructional materials
7. Handles the Library Instruction Program of the grade level/s assigned to him/her
8. Assists AV users in the selection and previewing of instructional materials
9. Oversees reservation of viewing rooms and AV equipment; monitors schedules to ensure smooth operation
10. Prepares overdue notices of AV users
11. Prepares payment/check requisition for AV materials and equipment
12. Prepares statistics of AV usage
13. Prepares annual inventory report of AV materials
14. Attends faculty meetings and other school functions
15. Performs other tasks that may be assigned to him/her

The candidates should have completed a Bachelor’s degree and preferably with Masteral Degree in Library Science, Educational Technology or its related fields and must be a licensed librarian . S/he should have at least two to four years related experience. S/he must have a high level of integrity, good interpersonal relationship skills, must be resourceful, and be able to plan for various requirements of the institution.
