Prince Mohammad bin Fahd University (PMU) is a new private university in the Eastern Province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The University will officially open on October 4th, 2008. The library on the male campus of PMU needs several Library Technicians as well as one Librarian to meet the needs of our growing campus.

The strategic plan for the Library allows for several additional Librarian and Library Technician positions, but we are currently only recruiting for two to three Technicians and one Librarian at this time. A specific contract position will be determined based upon the specific skills, education, experience, and, interests of the successful candidate.

* Candidates interested in one of the Library Technician positions should have a bachelor’s degree in Library Science and experience working in a library.

* Candidates interested in the Librarian position MUST have an American Library Association accredited master’s degree in library science and experience of working in an academic library.

Candidates for all positions MUST be fluent in English, be willing to relocate to Saudi Arabia, and be willing to do any and all tasks assigned, even if they are beyond the scope of the ‘contract position’.
