SUBJECT: Holding of the 2nd Regional Convention of the Caraga
Librarians and Libraries Association (CLLA) with the theme:
“The Role of Libraries and Library Professionals in E-Learning:
A Continuing Awareness”, to be held at the AVR, Surigao
Education Center (SEC), Surigao City on May 22 - 24, 2008

1. The objectives of the convention are to improve the capabilities of Caraga librarians and libraries, and to strengthen the networking among the library and information professionals.

2. Topics to be discussed at the convention include the following:

a. Keeping th Balance: Basic vs. Electronic Cataloging;
b. Library Education and Training: A Continuing Operation;
c. Enhancing Quality Information Delivery: The Librarians Role, and
d. E-Learning: Empowering the Library Users

3. Expected participants are librarians, library assistants and information professionals from all levels of education, national and local government libraries and other organizations.

4. A registration fee in the amount of Two Thousand Pesos Only (P2,000.00) per head, shall be collected to defray cost of snacks, lunches, kit and handouts.
