* Identify new/emerging service/product initiatives

* Develop Proof-of-concept on ideas to assess their potential for further service development

* Project manage development of new product/service prototype and/or pilot

* Long term cooperation with user groups on new product/service development

* 2-5 years of relevant experience

* Project management skills

* Skills in interpreting user/clients information needs

* Strong communication skills

SENIOR LIBRARIAN (SNAP PROJECT) Post Date: 19 Nov 07

You will be involved in the following duties:

* Plan, lead, and manage setup of the Acquisition & Digitization Programme for all donated Singapore National Album of Pictures (SNAP) photographic and pictorial materials

* Manage and supervise implementation of the Conservation & Preservation Policy for photographs, negatives and slides from Donors

* Lead planning activities for Digital Preservation of SNAP digital images

* Records creation and management

* Website content scripting and maintenance

* Budget tracking and utilization, systems management and processes documentation for SNAP

* Supervision and training of record creators and service partners

You should possess:

* Bachelor degree and Post-Graduate Diploma; or Masters degree

* 8-10 years of relevant experience

* Expertise in the digital archival and management of records for photographs/pictorial materials, with some experience in the preservation and conservation of photographs
