Dear Colleagues:
The PATLS will hold a forum on November 17, 2007, 8:30-12:00 in the morning, at the Viewing Room (Romm 413), 4th Floor, Edilberto P. Dagot Hall, PNU Library, Manila.
As you are probably aware, PATLS was given a grant by the NCCA to create modules for the teaching of Library and Information Science. This module has been written and completed and awaiting copyright registration. We would like to present highlights of this module to teachers and students of LIS and all librarians who are interested in LIS Education. These presentations will be held during the first half of our morning session on November 17.
The second half of the forum will be devoted to a discussion on the need to standardize the MLIS curriculum. This will end with an organization of a Curriculum Committee whose membership must be representative of all educators in LIS, both from the Metro Manila Area as well as the provinces. PLEASE BE THERE AND BE COUNTED!
We shall be charging a minimal fee of P100.00 for librarians and MLIS students and P50.00 for undergraduate students for snacks and certificates.
Truly yours,
VYVA VICTORIA M. AGUIRRE
Vice-President & Conference Chair
PATLS
