SENIOR DIRECTOR OF SALES
Asia-Pacific Region
Our client, a prestigious company providing automation solutions to libraries, is seeking a senior director of sales for the Asian Pacific market. The successful candidate will be responsible for expanding the company’s presence in this region. The successful candidate may sit in any location in the US or Asia. 50% travel will be required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Direct and participate in the qualification, tracking and closing of new sales of the integrated library system to libraries in Asia-Pacific.
• Direct and track all add-on sales to existing customer libraries in Asia-Pacific.
• Develop sales strategy for Asia-Pacific in collaboration with the Vice President of Worldwide Sales.
• Determine participation in and attend trade shows and other relevant conferences.
• Weekly reporting of all sales activity as well as regular forecast reports.
• Supervise sales staff in the region.
• Recruit and interview additional sales staff in collaboration with the Vice President of Worldwide Sales.
• Participate at an executive level in setting corporate goals with the executive team.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum of a Bachelors degree from an accredited institution, but MLS preferred
• 5+ years of previous sales experience.
• Excellent account management skills.
• Experience with library sales cycles and marketplace.
• Extensive travel required.
