Librarian (For Immediate Hiring)

Responsibilities:
• Management, control and operation of the Library;
• Planning and implementing various programs, projects and activities for the various programs, improvement and development of the library;
• Enforcement of approved policies, procedures, rules and regulations involving the Library.
Requirements:
• Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or any related field; Holder of a Master’s degree in Library Science is preferable.
• At least five years of experience on all library operations;
• Licensed as required;
• Familiar with the existing library policies, systems and procedures that will affect all aspects of library operations;
• Familiar with the classification numbers in both Dewey Decimal Classification System and Library of Congress Classification System;
• Able to make inputs into the overall library collection management process;
• Able to evaluate collection status and needs through library standards.
Applicants who qualify with the requirements may apply on-line or may submit comprehensive curriculum vitae, transcript of records, photocopy of professional license and a 2″ x 2″ picture to the Human Resources Department, Mapua Institute of Technology, Muralla St., Intramuros, Manila.
